Relaunch and maintenance of the Facebook app page and On Platform Campaigns.
In 2020 our social life will take place online. The perfect opportunity for Facebook to prove itself irreplaceable. With the counter-movement to social distancing, we are bringing people back together digitally.
We inform about current topics, inspire and entertain. We always focus on Facebook groups.

Pride 2020
Coming out to the world is a stressful moment for most. Several LGBTQ+ Facebook Groups dedicate their time to helping such individuals across the year, with the Pride Parade being the pinnacle of outreach. With COVID-19 sweeping across the country, this year’s Pride Parade was going to be a virtual one.
We flagged off our campaign with the story of Julia - the admin of the Facebook Group, Transgender Germany -TGG. We realised that Facebook Avatars are a great tool when it comes to inclusivity. They don’t restrict you to a gender or give you gender-specific clothing. We used this to illustrate Julia’s transformation journey, as narrated by her.
The video prompted several members of the LGBTQ+ community to create their own inclusive avatars. We used them to populate our virtual Parade Float on the day of the Pride. Housed in our Facebook stories, the Float kept adding new avatars as the day progressed.
During this time, we also activated the long-forgotten ‘Mentorship’ feature of several LGBTQ+ Facebook Groups, helping new members seek a mentor who has already been in their shoes.
Beweg Was
For the On Platform Campaign, we created the first digital sport event, hosted on the Facebook app social page. An athletic challenge that celebrates the communal effort of groups and at the same time supports SMBs in Germany.
In the end of the challenge the proceeds won by the community was given to a community favourite NGO.
